INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Industrial revolution is a big change in industry and a passing term to mechanization. Before industrial revolution, people were working and they did everything with themselves. It was very challenging for them because they were tired and production were decreasing. In 18th centuries, machines occur with industrial revolution and factories were built. When machines occur, instead of people, machines started to work and worked people number increased. In this picture, we can see that huge factories were built and they worked. Also, machines worked. However, because of machines many people lost their works. Briefly, industrial revolution caused an extreme changes.

  1. In brief, so true. The industrial revolution changed everything. I think that you have a chosen a very good picture, and sometimes I think that the paintings from this decade are for more powerful than the photographs, because they tell a story, whereas the photos are hard real proof. I think that you are the only student who chose to look at the industrial revolution and some of its positive changes. People often forget that though many bad things were done and that many people were hurt, it is those decades which have provided our modern world with everything that we use without thinking. I like your picture for many reason, it does show these factories are polluting the skies but it also shows that a road through them can be had, and that past the road are blue skies or success. The clock tower in the front of the picture represents modernism and all the advantages that it brings. Also this picture is a crossroads in time. There are horses and men pulling and some of them are pulling steam engines, before the cars and trucks and when people were still linked to the factories in a very real way. Good choice.
